Last Paris Installment

Our last day in Paris included a trip to the Rodin Museum, housed in a beautiful old hotel. This is the metro stop.

This is the garden of the museum with the top of the Invalides dome behind it.  Mom and I turned out to have matching clothes that day!
The Rodin garden, museum in the background and some booty in the pond.

 We did some thinking there.

 Ah, French presentation of fruit.

 Our final dinner table.

A pirate ship at Paris Plages--would have liked to bring Liam and Reid here.

And a walk to the Louvre--beautiful.  We had a great trip.

Maine without Mommy

Well, we are ready to have our Mommy back, that's for sure.
But thanks to Grammarie and Grampa Topher and Larry and Sharon, we've been having a pretty awesome week, despite her absence.  Some of the more recent highlights:

Swimming in Acadia with Liam.

Umbilicus lichen on the trail along Long Pond.

R2D2, Han and friends flying back along our Long Pond trail.

Liam, balancing mid-stride on a rocky coastline.

Reid and Grammarie examining the local biota.

Larry and Reid are very different sizes and ages,
but they share a common journey.

Liam drawing an electric drill.

Grampa Topher helps Reid inspect the Volvo in preparation for canoe transport.

A lovely day on the stillwater branch of the might Penobscott.

Adventurers.

The SS Marsha sets sail in the Stillwater.

Liam pulls the SS Marsha.  Her painter is tied to his paddle.

Now Liam is pulled by the canoes painter.
He has double floatation devices and many watchful eyes on him.

But he loves every second of it.

Finally, Liam, Topher and Tim start the construction of the "control panel," a wood mounted device made from salvaged components of an old toy tractor.  It is extremely cool.  More on that in a few days.

The latest from Paris

Yet another fancy meal--feta, cucumber salad.

The Sainte Chapelle on Ile de la Cite. Gorgeous stained glass. I thought of Dody Waring here.

A very eclectic establishment--patisserie, tea shop, candy maker, antique displayer, and restaurant.

Great little courtyards everywhere--we just discovered another one around the corner from our place yesterday.

More Grammarie Time!

Sand Beach, Acadia NP.  Gorgeous day.

Reid with 4 sticks on Sand Beach.

Reid with stones.

Liam pretended to be a doggie and fetched thrown sticks for about an hour in the warmer fresh water pool.

Grampa Topher building a rock tower, which is Reid's house.

Larry and Sharon came to visit, and Grammarie made an amazing chicken and risotto dinner with our  own fresh garden greens.

This is cupid.

Acadia NP, again.  Long Pond.

Short legs, Long Pond.

 Reid shows Larry a tree.

 Larry shows Reid a shell.

At the Bass Head Light.

Days end Tubby.  Bays in Tubby.

Liam Kiran swimming like a fiendish fish.

Grammarie and LK table drawing.

Yes, life has been good.
