November

Eating the last of the cherry tomatoes from our garden, which have been ripening in the colander on the counter:

Enjoying walks home from school through the woods:




We pretend to be ninjas (of course) on the walk. Liam found a metal tool, which turns out to be a handy sword.




Reid has started sporting the full body snowsuit.

We cross two bridges on the way:

And run through a final pine stand, watching out for "bad guy deer" and waving to the fairy forest and house along the way:


At home the Christmas cacti are in bloom on the kitchen counter:

And Reid has been very busy making forts. We call this Reid Feng Shui--finally the couch cushions are being put to good use. Today I asked him what he was doing when he was very carefully distributing Velcro balls all over the fort. "These are bullets to stop the bad guys," he said.

Believe it or not, we have also been attending Quaker meeting regularly for the last two months. The spirit of pacifism is clearly rubbing off.
